Rock Landscaping-Plantings for a Rock Area

Could you suggest some plant material for this area? I see it from the house and patio. Would like some color.
Thanks so much!
Answer
Hi Linda
I'm not sure of your exact zone, but I used zone 6 for these plants.

The Russian sage in the back grows 3 to 4 foot high and wide.
The red and yellow flowers are Arizona sun blankets, they grow about 1 foot high and about 2 foot wide.
The white flowers in the front are Little Gem Candytuft. They get about 6 inches tall and about 15 inches wide.
You could eliminate the Candytuft, move the blanket flowers to the front and then behind the Sage you could plant Foerster's Feather Reed Grass.
This would give this area some winter interest.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for visiting backyard landscape ideas
